Remote Site Safety Drafter – NYC Building Code Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Site Safety Drafter to create accurate, code‑compliant safety plans for construction projects. This remote position focuses on New York City regulations, ensuring every plan meets the NYC Building Code and Local Law 81.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed site safety plans that comply with the NYC Building Code and Local Law 81 of 2017.
• Interpret and apply site safety supervision requirements for construction projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and safety managers to ensure city‑wide regulatory compliance.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to draft fire safety, emergency exits, and hazard mitigation strategies.
• Conduct site assessments to identify safety risks and propose corrective solutions.
• Maintain documentation and records for regulatory approvals.
• Stay updated on NYC Department of Buildings regulations and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience drafting site safety plans for construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, Local Law 81, and site safety supervision requirements.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with project teams and regulatory agencies.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
