Remote Registered Nurse – Telehealth Substance Use Disorder

About the role

Boulder Care seeks compassionate Registered Nurses to provide telehealth support for patients receiving buprenorphine‑based treatment for opioid use disorder. This is a 100% remote, full‑time W2 position with a consistent Monday‑Friday schedule (1 pm‑9 pm EST).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver empathetic telephone, text, and video‑based patient engagement and monitoring.
• Educate patients on addiction, medication, overdose prevention, safer consumption, and related services.
• Access and interpret Prescription Drug Monitoring Program data to support adherence.
• Assess withdrawal, pain, and recovery progress; collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Peer Recovery Specialists to update care plans.
• Provide buprenorphine initiation education, follow‑up, and crisis intervention within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date medical records for each clinical interaction.

Required profile

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of residence.
• Minimum two years of specialized nursing experience in outpatient substance‑use‑disorder treatment.
• Availability for a full‑time (40 hours/week) schedule, Monday‑Friday, 1 pm‑9 pm EST.
• Residence in one of the approved states (AL, AK, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, MD, MI, NH, NM, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, WA, WY).

Required skills

• Proficiency with telehealth communication tools.
• Familiarity with clinical decision‑support systems and Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs.
