Remote Real Estate Operations Manager

About the role

This full‑time remote position oversees the day‑to‑day operations of self‑storage facilities for Vaulta Storage. You will be the single point of contact ensuring each site runs smoothly, making decisions independently and owning outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Answer the operations phone line, convert rental inquiries into signed leases, and handle customer issues with patience and firmness.
• Manage the full tenant lifecycle – move‑ins, move‑outs, unit turnovers, lease terminations, and delinquencies – while keeping the Cubby system accurate.
• Run the lien and auction process for defaulting tenants, meeting deadlines and complying with state regulations.
• Obtain quotes and coordinate vendors for gates, doors, cameras, fences, landscaping, and repairs, ensuring clear scope and pricing.
• Respond to security incidents using camera footage and gate‑access logs, following through to resolution.
• Assist with onboarding newly acquired facilities: transfer utilities, set up phone and software systems, and write SOPs.

Required profile

• 2+ years in a customer‑facing operations role such as apartment or residential property management, leasing, commercial real estate, or facilities management.
• Sound judgment, ownership, and proactive problem‑solving.
• Strong phone presence and clear written and spoken English.
• Reliable remote work setup with high‑speed internet and a backup power/internet plan.

Required skills

• Experience with property‑management software platforms (Cubby, Quo, ClickUp, SafeLease).
