Remote Product Owner / Business Analyst for VA Project

About the role

Mind Computing is looking for a full‑time, 100% remote Product Owner / Business Analyst to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) initiative. You will act as the bridge between federal healthcare stakeholders and Agile delivery teams, turning policy and compliance requirements into a clear product roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain a product vision and roadmap aligned with VA mission and federal healthcare priorities.
• Translate legislation such as the MISSION Act and VA modernization goals into backlog items and user stories.
• Own, prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring items meet Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
• Collaborate with clinical SMEs, technical teams, and enterprise architects to ensure compliance with security, accessibility (Section 508) and HIPAA standards.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and release planning using SAFe/Agile practices.
• Validate completed features against acceptance criteria and coordinate testing, security and change‑management approvals.

Required profile

• Experience working with federal healthcare programs or large‑scale public sector projects.
• Strong understanding of Agile product ownership and backlog management.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
• Residency in the continental United States.
