Remote Pharmacy Service Representative

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Remote Pharmacy Service Representative to manage pharmacy prior‑authorization requests. The role involves interacting with patients, pharmacists, and physicians to ensure timely and accurate processing of authorization requests while complying with all regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Determine patient eligibility and verify required documentation for prior‑authorization requests.
• Create, process, and track pharmacy prior‑authorization cases from submission to resolution.
• Prepare and distribute authorization packets for pharmacist or physician review, and respond to requests for additional information.
• Collect medical information via telephone, fax, or portal and apply appropriate authorization criteria.
• Document all communications and decisions clearly and meet required decision‑making timeframes.
• Escalate cases that require pharmacist review promptly.
• Communicate oral and written outcome notifications in compliance with timeliness, content, and accuracy standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmacy‑related role.
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service, phone etiquette, and typing proficiency.
