Remote Nurse Reviewer – LPN (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for detail‑oriented Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our virtual team as Nurse Reviewers. In this fully remote, contract position you will evaluate medical documentation and insurance applications to determine eligibility for Group Life and Disability coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess Statement of Health applications and supporting medical records.
• Decide whether each application should be approved, denied, returned, placed on hold, or require additional information.
• Research medical conditions, medications, and clinical information to support accurate decisions.
• Process applications efficiently while adhering to established quality standards.
• Use internal systems, job aids, and work instructions to complete daily assignments.
• Maintain productivity, quality, and attendance metrics and meet service‑level goals.
• Communicate case status and workload questions to team leads and supervisors.
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and quality‑review sessions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current, active LPN license in good standing (proof required upon offer).
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while following established guidelines.
• Willingness to receive feedback, learn new processes, and adapt to changing needs.
• Experience with medical record review, insurance, utilization review, case management, or clinical documentation is preferred.
• Prior remote‑work experience and familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.

• Proficiency using multiple computer systems and technology platforms.
