Remote iOS Engineer – AI Coding Agent Specialist

About the role

Mercor is seeking a remote iOS Engineer to work with cutting‑edge AI coding agents. You will evaluate and improve model‑generated mobile code, ensuring it meets production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Use frontier AI coding agents to complete and assess complex engineering tasks.
• Review model‑generated iOS code for correctness, quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI‑produced outputs.
• Compare outputs from multiple AI models and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.
• Apply professional engineering judgment to realistic mobile engineering scenarios.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining production iOS applications with Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
• Regular use of AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or similar tools.
• Ability to evaluate model‑generated mobile implementations and architectural decisions.

What we offer

• Contract rate of $85 per hour.
