About the role
Mercor is seeking a remote Aerospace Engineering Specialist to create visual‑reasoning benchmark problems for AI research labs. This contract role pays $100–$125 per hour on a part‑time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Author benchmark problems in aerospace engineering using authentic professional artifacts.
- Source and interpret system schematics, assembly drawings, and maintenance diagrams.
- Design problems that require structural, spatial, and multi‑step reasoning.
- Provide clear, concise final answers with professional‑level solutions.
- Tag each problem with domain, artifact type, skill tested, and difficulty level.
- Collaborate with other domain experts for independent review.
Required profile
- Hands‑on experience with aerospace engineering artifacts.
- Ability to read and interpret real aerospace engineering visuals.
Required skills
- Interpretation of aerospace schematics and diagrams.
