Remote Accountant for Private Investment Platform

About the role

We are partnering with a private investment platform and family office to hire a motivated Accountant who will work remotely across the United States. This position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of private real estate, credit, venture capital, public equities, and operating businesses, allowing you to develop a broad finance and operations skill set.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close for multiple legal entities and prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Perform general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany accounting.
• Coordinate with external CPA firms and tax advisors on filings and compliance.
• Support cash management, banking relationships, and wire activity.
• Track capital calls, distributions, and investment activity across the portfolio.
• Assist with new investment closings, entity formations, and operational documentation.
• Help improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls as the platform scales.
• Partner directly with senior leadership on finance and operational initiatives.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or multi‑entity environments.
• CPA or CPA‑track preferred.
• Exposure to private investments, real estate, fund accounting, or family office settings is a plus.
• Curious, organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
