Registered Pharmacist – High Volume Pharmacy

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our high‑volume pharmacy team. You will dispense prescription medications, provide expert counseling, and ensure a high level of member service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions, measure and label medications, and apply warning stickers.
• Verify prescriptions, contact physicians for refills, and select appropriate substitutions.
• Maintain confidential patient records and review drug interactions for both prescriptions and over‑the‑counter products.
• Provide immunizations and counsel customers on proper medication usage.
• Assist with inventory control of Schedule II‑V controlled substances and participate in semi‑annual department inventories.
• Execute Central Fill and DUR functions, handle equipment orders, and coordinate maintenance.
• Act as Pharmacist‑in‑Charge when required, overseeing regulatory compliance and supervising technicians.

Required profile

• Active pharmacist license in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of prescription verification, drug interactions, and controlled‑substance regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet business needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems for record keeping and order processing.
• Experience delivering immunizations.
• Ability to conduct inventory audits of controlled substances.
