Registered Nurse – TOSH Operating Room

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the TOSH Operating Room. This is a regular, day‑shift position within the Clinical Staff – Nursing group, reporting to the ICE | MUSL | TOSH Operating Room department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care throughout surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions and patient status.
• Adhere to UAMS policies, infection control standards, and peri‑operative protocols.
• Assist with equipment preparation, sterilization, and postoperative recovery.

Required profile

• Current employee, student employee, or graduate assistant of the University of Arkansas System (application through Workday).
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Valid Registered Nurse license and appropriate clinical experience for an operating‑room setting.
