Registered Nurse Supervisor – Night Shift

About the role

Join the State of Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities as a Registered Nurse Supervisor on the night shift. You will lead a team of nursing staff, ensure high‑quality patient care, and coordinate with the broader health‑care team in Savannah.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for the unit or shift.
• Supervise and schedule direct‑care staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Administer medications, start IV fluids, and document all treatments accurately.
• Coordinate with physicians and other health‑care professionals to develop and adjust client care plans.
• Maintain detailed client records, monitor patient conditions, and report changes promptly.
• Prepare treatment rooms, ensure sterile instruments and supplies are stocked.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post‑acute care.

Required profile

• Active Registered Professional Nurse license in Georgia (or Nurse Licensure Compact).
• Minimum three years of experience supervising direct‑care nursing staff.
• BSN preferred but not mandatory if extensive experience is demonstrated.

Required skills

• Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy.
• Ability to assess patient health problems and develop nursing care plans.
• Strong documentation and record‑keeping skills.
