Registered Nurse – Ryan White Clinic (Athens, GA)

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Northeast Health District Specialty Care Clinic is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care to clients living with HIV/AIDS and related health conditions. This position supports the Ryan White program across ten counties and works within a multidisciplinary team to promote viral suppression and overall wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Complete nurse protocol training in HIV, STD, immunization, and related areas.
• Provide direct nursing care, including physical assessments, education, treatment, and documentation of care plans.
• Screen, refer, and coordinate clients with community service providers as needed.
• Deliver sexual health promotion and medication adherence counseling.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia.
• At least 1 year of experience managing HIV, STI/STD, or other communicable diseases in a clinical setting.
• Experience working with culturally diverse or vulnerable populations, including sexual minorities and individuals with mental health or substance‑use disorders.
• Ability to commute to Athens, GA (relocation assistance not provided).
