Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery/Bariatric - Acute Care

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, safe patient care in an acute‑care setting. The role aligns with evidence‑based standards, the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics, emphasizing individualized, relationship‑based care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care using critical thinking and evidence‑based practices.
• Deliver relationship‑based care tailored to patient demographics and cultural diversity, partnering with patients and families to meet their goals.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through effective communication, documentation, and participation in performance improvement and shared governance.
• Complete competency assessments, serve as preceptor or mentor, and support ongoing education and growth.
• Promote research utilization, participate in data collection, and contribute to clinical decision‑making and safety initiatives.
• Plan patient care across the continuum, develop protocols, and optimize resource use to improve outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience.
• Active RN license (single state or multi‑state compact) and BLS, BLS Instructor, BLS Provisional certifications.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in clinical technology, critical thinking, and time management.
