Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU Days

About the role
Join a brand‑new 11‑bed High Acuity Progressive Care Unit (HAU) at Atrium Health Floyd. As a Registered Nurse on the PCU Days shift (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.), you will care for medically complex patients in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, evidence‑based nursing care to high‑acuity patients with a 1:3 nurse‑to‑patient ratio.
- Coordinate patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safety and therapeutic outcomes.
- Lead initiatives that create the safest patient environment and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
Required profile
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, clinically challenging setting.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
