Registered Nurse RN Endoscopy - PRN

About the role

AdventHealth Winter Garden is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Endoscopy department on a PRN basis, working day shifts. The position requires endoscopy, PACU or PREOP experience and is open to eligible clinicians who may also earn salary increases of up to 20% through the voluntary Clinical Ladder Program.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing them regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Endoscopy, PACU or PREOP experience (required).
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; Associate's degree required.
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing).
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows-based programs.

Required skills

• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• EKG competency.
• Teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions and revise the plan of care.

Required certifications

• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification (required).
• Subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting.

Pay range: $31.85 - $52.76.
