Registered Nurse - PCU, Day Shift

About the role

AdventHealth in Winter Garden, Florida, is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its PCU unit. The position is open to day shift and offers a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 for full-time night shift and up to $10,000 for full-time day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required).
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Fluent English, read, spoken and written.
• Ability to work as a team player within a unit.

Required skills

• Nursing care methods and procedures.
• EKG interpretation (based on patient; see the EKG and Advanced Life Support requirements document).
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills, and effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving.
