Registered Nurse – PACU (Full‑Time)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. This full‑time position involves delivering high‑quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and upholding the standards of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the PACU.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while ensuring safe and effective care.
• Educate patients and families, addressing diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious needs.
• Participate in data‑driven quality improvement initiatives to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accountability for patient outcomes and contribute to unit and departmental strategic goals.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing and clinical specialty certification.
