Registered Nurse - Oncology (Inpatient), Full-Time Nights

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring a full-time night shift Registered Nurse for its inpatient oncology unit. The RN provides patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients, planning, directing and evaluating nursing care while following established standards, policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care, including a holistic view of physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and functional needs
• Assess patients to build a standard of care and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing plan of care
• Ensure accurate documentation and adequate supplies, and know how to operate equipment
• Act as an educator for peers, patients and families
• Maintain compliance with hospital procedural standards and support the hospital's mission and vision
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers
• Oncology experience preferred
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs
• Able to work in a stressful environment, independently and with attention to detail
