Registered Nurse – OB/Nursery

About the role

Phelps Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join its OB/Nursery unit. You will provide direct patient care, support families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and high‑quality outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, and safe handling.
• Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and deliver patient and family education.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, document care, and communicate findings to physicians and team members.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Missouri (or Compact licensure) – graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
• One year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
