Registered Nurse – Northwest Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinics

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Northwest Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinics team. This full‑time, on‑site position supports orthopaedic patients in a fast‑paced outpatient environment, delivering high‑quality clinical care and collaborating with multidisciplinary providers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to orthopaedic patients, including assessments, medication administration, and wound care.
• Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post‑procedure care, rehabilitation protocols, and medication management.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Arkansas.
• Graduates of an accredited nursing program.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
