About the role

Ochsner Health seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Neuro Progressive Unit on weekends. The RN will provide patient‑centered care using the Nursing Process and uphold Ochsner’s standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver safe, effective patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients and families.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Use data and evidence to drive improvements and achieve optimal outcomes.
Adapt communication and care approaches to respect cultural, privacy, and individual patient needs.

Required profile

Registered Nurse diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
No prior experience required.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Computer proficiency for data entry and retrieval; comfortable with Windows‑style applications.
