Registered Nurse – Maternal Newborn (Night Shift)

About the role

PIH Health is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide maternal‑newborn care during the night shift (7 pm – 7:30 am). The RN will deliver direct patient care, coordinate with multidisciplinary team members, and ensure a safe, supportive environment for mothers and newborns.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Provide education to patients and families about postpartum and newborn care.
• Coordinate care delivery with physicians, midwives, lactation consultants, and other support staff.
• Document all nursing activities accurately in the electronic health record.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patient care throughout the night shift.

Required profile

• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• At least one year of experience in medical/surgical or maternal nursing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
