Registered Nurse – Main PACU (Night Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Main Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on the night shift at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The RN will provide high‑quality nursing care to patients recovering from surgery during overnight hours.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the PACU throughout the night, ensuring stable vital signs and pain control.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and post‑operative orders as directed by physicians.
• Collaborate with anesthesiology, surgery, and respiratory therapy teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including airway management and rapid response situations.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the United States.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Experience in peri‑operative or PACU nursing preferred.
• Ability to work night shift hours consistently.
