Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Multiple Shifts)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Labor & Delivery unit in Winter Garden, Florida. The position covers multiple shifts, including nights, and is open to eligible clinicians who want to join the hospital's Clinical Ladder Program, which offers salary increases of up to 20% based on experience, professional development and achievement of advancement criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions and adjust them to improve patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required).
• 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
• Fluent English, read, spoken and written.
• EKG and Advanced Life Support training (requirements listed separately).
