Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Days)

About the role

AdventHealth Winter Garden is hiring a full-time day-shift Registered Nurse for its Labor and Delivery unit. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts. Eligible clinicians can earn salary increases of up to 20% through a voluntary Clinical Ladder Program, and up to $10,000 in sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation assistance are available to eligible candidates under specific terms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate's degree required.
• Labor and Delivery experience required; 1+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing).
• 12-month full-time employment contract required for sign-on and relocation eligibility; internal candidates and rehires within 12 months are not eligible.
• Relocation eligibility requires living 50 miles outside the campus address.

Required skills

• BLS (CPR) certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• EKG competency.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows-based programs.
