Registered Nurse – Inpatient Rehabilitation (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Registered Nurse – Inpatient Rehabilitation provides direct, individualized nursing care to patients recovering from physical, functional, or neurological impairments. Working in a 150‑bed hospital, the RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to promote functional independence and safe discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions, progress, and response to therapy.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobility, and rehabilitation exercises.
• Coordinate care with therapy and medical staff to achieve patient goals.
• Provide education to patients and families on rehabilitation, safety, and wellness.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas (or compact state) and Basic Life Support certification.
• Clinical nursing experience, preferably in rehabilitation or med‑surg.
• Strong critical‑thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving patients, and standing for extended periods.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
