Registered Nurse – Community Living Center

About the role

The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a Community Living Center serving veterans. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program, which can help offset student loan costs.

Key responsibilities

Required profile

• Proficiency in written and spoken English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Graduation from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE, or equivalent foreign nursing education with validated degree equivalency.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in a U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Eligibility to obtain a state nursing license; candidates without licensure may be appointed temporarily as a Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) for up to 120 days while pursuing licensure.
• Compliance with VHA policy for the Education Debt Reduction Program, including application within four months of appointment.
