Registered Nurse – Clinical (Ambulatory Care)

About the role

The Clinical Registered Nurse provides outpatient, ambulatory care to a diverse, low‑income population. Working in a team‑based clinic, the RN manages chronic conditions, delivers patient‑centered education, and administers treatments in a non‑acute environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply professional nursing theory within Washington State licensure scope.
• Assess risk, develop and implement individualized care plans for chronic disease management.
• Coordinate care with providers, support staff, and community resources.
• Perform phlebotomy, medication administration, and other clinical procedures.
• Utilize electronic health record and practice management systems to document care.
• Provide phone triage and patient education in English (bilingual preferred).

Required profile

• Registered Nurse license in Washington State.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing (high school diploma or equivalent required).
• Basic Life Support (CPR/AED) certification within 45 days of hire.
• Proof of immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.
• At least 1 year of customer‑service experience; care‑coordination or ambulatory‑care experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Experience with practice management software.
• Phlebotomy skills.
• Phone triage capability.
