Registered Nurse – Assessment Center (Full/Part‑Time, Days/Evenings)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Assessment Center, the designated Emergency Department for the hospital. The RN will provide comprehensive care to a diverse obstetric population as well as gynecological, sexual assault, bariatric, oncology, and medical/surgical patients during days and evenings.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient status, integrating data from the care team to develop independent nursing care plans.
• Develop detailed care plans that include patient and family education to optimize outcomes.
• Communicate plans and interventions clearly to patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Evaluate patient response to treatment, revising care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health‑care providers throughout the continuum of care.
• Prepare patients for discharge using established clinical pathways.
• Coordinate nursing care in accordance with professional standards and department policies.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing.
• Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• Emergency Room or obstetric nursing experience highly preferred.
• Relevant certifications preferred.

• Full‑time or part‑time schedule with a combination of 8‑ and 12‑hour shifts between 7 am and 11 pm.
• Pay range $30.49 – $48.78 plus applicable shift differentials.
