Registered Nurse - Acute Care Surgical Unit - Full-Time Days

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary care team, delivering high-quality, safe, and patient‑centered care in an acute care surgical unit. The role follows evidence‑based standards, the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics while advocating for patients and system policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide relationship‑based care that respects cultural diversity and involves patients and families in care planning and education.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care through effective communication and teamwork, supporting performance improvement initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and promote evidence‑based practice and research activities.
• Develop protocols and support resource management to optimize patient outcomes and system efficiency.

Required profile

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Active RN license (single or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills; ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent time management, critical thinking, and collaborative abilities.
