Registered Nurse – 5 West Med/Surg/Pediatrics

About the role

Garnet Health Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 5 West Med/Surg/Pediatrics unit in Middletown, NY. You will provide patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced hospital environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality health services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, timely, and effective nursing care to medical, surgical, and pediatric patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments according to protocols.
• Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain compliance with NY State Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and hospital policies.

Required profile

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Ability to work in a med‑surg/pediatrics setting and handle a diverse patient population.
