About the role
Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 5 West Med/Surg and Pediatrics unit. The RN will deliver patient‑centered care to both adult and pediatric populations in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
Key responsibilities
- Promote, protect, and optimize patient health while preventing illness and injury.
- Provide safe, timely, effective, equitable, and patient‑centered care in accordance with the NY State Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose, treat, and advocate for patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based practice.
- Uphold the Garnet Health Nursing Strategic Plan and Quality & Safety initiatives.
Required profile
- Current New York State RN license.
- Commitment to professional nursing standards and ethical practice.
- Strong critical‑thinking and clinical judgment.
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse, team‑oriented environment.
