About the role
The College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University Health Science Center is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join its Oral Surgery department in Dallas. This on‑site position supports a high‑volume oral surgery practice, including dental implant procedures, and offers a structured career path from Assistant I to III.
Key responsibilities
- Assist oral surgeons during procedures, ensuring proper instrument setup and patient comfort.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical trays and equipment for daily cases.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and document treatment details.
- Support dental implant workflows, including impression taking and component handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment and adhere to infection‑control protocols.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Dental Assistant certification.
- Dental Assistant I: entry‑level experience.
- Dental Assistant II: minimum 2 years of experience and exposure to dental implant procedures.
- Dental Assistant III: minimum 4 years of experience and demonstrated competence with implant cases.
