Regional Training Coordinator – EMS (Region 2)

About the role
The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a Regional Training Coordinator for EMS in Region 2. This position oversees the implementation, evaluation, and compliance of initial and continuing emergency medical services education programs across multiple counties.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure regulatory compliance of EMS education programs, instructors, and students.
- Serve as licensing officer for Instructor Licenses and Critical Care Paramedic endorsements.
- Conduct initial, annual, and re‑designation inspections of education facilities.
- Review and align course curricula with state requirements and national best practices for EMR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic and Critical Care levels.
- Plan and coordinate at least one regional training symposium each year.
- Collaborate with healthcare coalitions, hospitals, and community experts to develop tailored EMS education programs.
Required profile
- Current Georgia Paramedic and EMS Instructor/Coordinator licenses.
- Minimum 5 years of upper‑management experience with a licensed EMS agency or education program.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics and performance reporting.
- Experience with community paramedicine or mobile integrated healthcare is preferred.
