Regional Manager

About the role

The Regional Manager will lead CalTrout’s North Coast program, overseeing restoration projects across northern Humboldt and Del Norte counties. This senior position combines office work with regular field visits to active restoration sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional conservation strategies aligned with CalTrout’s mission, focusing on salmon and steelhead recovery.
• Lead and supervise staff and consultant teams through planning, design, permitting, construction, and monitoring phases.
• Manage grants and contracts, including budgets, progress reports, invoices, and compliance with federal award requirements.
• Build and maintain partnerships with Tribal Nations, landowners, agencies, and funding partners.
• Oversee regional budgets, financial reporting, and risk management, ensuring compliance with CEQA, NEPA, ESA, and other regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience managing environmental conservation or restoration programs and supervising staff.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
