Regional Manager – Heavy Civil

About the role

The Regional Manager will provide executive leadership for a major geographic operating region within a leading heavy civil construction contractor. Reporting to the President of Construction, the role drives strategic direction, financial performance, and operational execution across multiple projects and teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all construction operations in the assigned region.
• Develop and execute long‑range business plans that support sustainable growth, operational excellence, and profitability.
• Build a collaborative, high‑performing culture focused on accountability, teamwork, innovation, and employee development.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Area Managers, Chief Estimators, and other operational leaders.
• Develop and implement regional business development strategies to expand market share and strengthen client relationships.
• Identify emerging market opportunities through customer engagement, industry analysis, and competitive intelligence.
• Oversee backlog growth and procurement strategies to support long‑term regional success.
• Direct successful execution of multiple heavy civil construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and profit targets are met.

Required profile

• Proven executive experience in heavy civil construction or related infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex organizations, drive profitability, and foster a strong safety culture.
• Track record of developing high‑performing leadership teams and expanding market presence.
