Regional Liquor Manager

About the role

Star Retailers is looking for a Regional Liquor Manager to oversee the performance of its liquor stores across the region. You will ensure health and safety standards, drive sales and profitability, and communicate company policies to store teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse operating and financial statements to shape marketing strategies and meet sales targets.
• Review stock‑take, PLU rankings and sales reports to optimise inventory and minimise waste.
• Authorize invoices and timesheets, conducting daily spreadsheet analysis for accuracy.
• Lead and motivate liquor store managers, fostering high morale and excellent customer experiences.
• Manage stock levels, negotiate pricing, and ensure no expired products remain on shelves.
• Develop pricing policies, promotional plans and monitor profitability ratios.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a regional managerial role within the liquor industry.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Commercial awareness, resourcefulness and a customer‑service mindset.
• Grade 12 (Matric) with a business‑related qualification; proficient in MS Office applications.
