Regional EHS Specialist

About the role

The Regional EHS Specialist will ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations at Ocean Spray receiving plants. You will develop policies, conduct inspections, and work with operations teams to create a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the EHS function to meet corporate, plant, and regulatory expectations.
• Identify, coordinate, and implement safety and environmental improvement plans.
• Develop and deliver environmental and safety training in person and electronically.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and conduct regular facility audits.
• Perform Job Safety Analyses, PPE assessments, and recommend improvements.
• Oversee inspection, maintenance, and upkeep of safety equipment such as fall protection and respiratory gear.
• Develop weekly safety toolbox talks and maintain the Shock Watch system.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience in environmental, occupational safety, or related field (preferred).
• Experience leading teams directly or indirectly and serving as a trainer.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to read blueprints, manuals, and regulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts.
• Year‑round availability with heavy emphasis during harvest months.
