Regional Director – Commercial Interior Construction

About the role

The Regional Director will lead the Richmond division of a leading commercial interior contractor, overseeing all aspects of project delivery, financial performance, and client development. Reporting to executive leadership, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution to ensure safety, quality, and profitability across a diverse portfolio of interior construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all operational activities for the Richmond division, ensuring safe, profitable, and efficient project delivery.
• Oversee project execution from pre‑construction through close‑out for commercial interior projects.
• Mentor and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership.
• Drive excellence in scheduling, estimating, budgeting, procurement, production, and quality control.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners, architects, and industry partners.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand existing client partnerships.
• Manage division financial performance, including forecasting, profitability, staffing, and resource planning.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on long‑term growth strategies and operational initiatives.
• Champion a culture of accountability, teamwork, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in commercial interior construction.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale interior projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong background in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, or related specialty contracting.
