Real Estate Specialist
roche · South San Francisco
Job description
About the role
Roche is looking for a Real Estate Specialist in South San Francisco to drive the smooth operation of its real estate portfolio and advance its mission to make a meaningful impact along the patient journey. The role sits between transaction support and strategic operations: managing end-to-end deal lifecycles, maintaining compliance standards and keeping complex cross-functional initiatives on track, working closely with the Real Estate Strategy team, internal leaders and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in end-to-end execution of acquisitions, dispositions and leasing, including due diligence, closing documentation and lease reviews.
- Coordinate internal teams (Legal, Finance, Site Operations, Design & Construction) and external partners (brokers, landlords, tenants) so that transaction timelines and milestones are met.
- Maintain portfolio records and trackers covering renewals, expirations, data entry and day-to-day administration.
- Monitor lease documentation for compliance with property disclosures, insurance requirements, move-out conditions and governance standards.
- Review and approve purchase orders, compile reports and financial files, and process rent and property-related payments.
- Support coordination of property management workflows, project agreements and site operations.
- Identify friction points in matrixed team structures and improve administrative, transaction and tracking workflows.
Required profile
- 5-8 years of professional experience in corporate real estate, commercial finance or legal operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven track record of managing processes and building relationships across cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization.
- Ability to work onsite at least three days per week; the position is not eligible for relocation.
Required skills
- Project management with high organizational precision.
- Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with real estate management software such as Lease Harbor and MyBuy.
What we offer
- Expected salary range of $84,600 - $157,200 USD annually, depending on experience, qualifications, location and other lawful factors.
- A discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
- The position qualifies for the benefits described in the original posting.
