Real Estate Manager – North America

About the role

Tesla is looking for a seasoned Real Estate Manager to oversee non‑customer facing properties across North America, including headquarters, satellite offices, factories and support sites. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive the company’s expansion and ensure real‑estate assets are managed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure locations for new Tesla facilities, centers, and factory support infrastructure.
• Negotiate lease agreements and manage acquisition, development, and ongoing portfolio administration.
• Collaborate with Production Control, Supply Chain, Logistics, Energy, Construction, Design, Legal, Finance and Lease Administration to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Monitor market trends, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Lead and coordinate a team of external real‑estate professionals and maintain relationships with landlords, developers, brokers and advisers.
• Work with Finance to develop budgets, forecasts and financial reporting for real‑estate activities.
• Conduct site visits, inspections and continuous improvement of real‑estate processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive commercial real‑estate experience, including site selection and contract negotiations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 office suite.
• Technologically adept and able to learn new software quickly.
• Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to prioritize competing interests.
• Eligibility for a real‑estate license in the state of residence.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
