Real Estate Brokerage Litigation Counsel

About the role

Compass International Holdings is looking for an experienced Litigation Counsel to join its Real Brokerage Litigation Team. The attorney will manage a diverse docket of real‑estate brokerage matters, protect the company’s interests across multiple brands, and work closely with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all phases of real‑estate brokerage litigation from inception through trial or settlement.
• Litigate a personal docket of civil matters and supervise outside counsel on selected cases.
• Prepare and defend company witnesses, conduct depositions, and draft/argue motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Represent the company in court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, trials, and regulatory proceedings.
• Advise internal teams on litigation risk, identify emerging issues, and recommend proactive solutions.
• Contribute to process improvements and best‑practice development within the legal function.

Required profile

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage civil litigation matters.
• Bar admission in New Jersey and New York.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational detail‑orientation and a consultative approach to business support.
