R&D Technician – Electrical Assembly

About the role

As an R&D Engineering Technician at Charge Robotics you will play a key role in building, testing, and deploying the next generation of solar‑installation robots. You will work closely with mechanical and software engineering teams in a fast‑paced, in‑person startup environment. The position emphasizes safety, hands‑on assembly, and clear documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Support mechanical and software engineering teams in assembly, testing, and support of new robotic systems.
• Maintain and organize the workshop to ensure efficient workflow.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including assembly instructions and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• At least 2 + years of relevant experience in electrical assembly.
• Strong electrical intuition refined through personal or professional projects.
• Comfortable interpreting schematics/drawings and assembling complex electrical systems independently.
• Positive attitude and enjoyment of in‑person work on a fast‑paced startup team.
• Commitment to follow and reinforce safety procedures.

Required skills

• Electrical assembly of complex systems.
• Interpretation of schematics and technical drawings.
• Development of engineering documentation and SOPs.
• Experience with industrial robot arms, end effectors, and automation systems (preferred).
