Ramp Agent – Full-Time (Seattle)

About the role

As a Ramp Agent you will be at the core of airport ground operations, ensuring baggage, mail and cargo are safely handled and flights stay on schedule. The role is fast‑paced, outdoors and requires strong teamwork, safety awareness and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Lift, load, unload and transport baggage, mail and cargo to and from aircraft.
• Sort, scan and route checked baggage according to destination, priority and transfer requirements.
• Receive inbound transfer baggage and deliver it to outbound flights within connection windows.
• Guide aircraft using hand signals and wing‑walking procedures.
• Service aircraft water and lavatory systems.
• Operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders and tow tractors safely.
• Use baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing.
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and maintain a clean work environment.
• Communicate clearly with flight crews and ground personnel.
• Monitor weather conditions and follow safety protocols.
• Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to follow all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier safety and security regulations.

Required skills

• Operation of ground equipment (tugs, belt loaders, tow tractors).
• Use of baggage scanners and related computer systems.
