Ramp Agent – Customer Service (Atlanta)

About the role

Delta Air Lines is seeking motivated individuals to join its ground operations team in Atlanta. As a Ramp Agent, you will play a vital part in ensuring passengers’ baggage and cargo are handled safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Safely lift, load, unload and transport baggage, mail and cargo to and from aircraft.
• Guide incoming and departing aircraft to and from gate positions to maintain timely connections.
• Protect cargo, baggage and mail from damage, loss and adverse weather conditions.
• Operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders and tow tractors in congested areas.
• Use baggage scanners and computer systems to route items accurately to their destinations.
• Work shifts that may range from early morning to overnight, based on operational needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Consistent focus on safety and security.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting 50‑70 lb items and operating in heat, rain or snow.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate ground handling equipment (tugs, belt loaders, tow tractors).
• Proficiency with baggage scanning and routing computer systems.
• Physical stamina for repetitive lifting, bending, standing and walking.
