Radiology Student Technician

About the role

Join Palestine Regional Medical Center, a 150‑bed hospital in Palestine, TX, as a Radiology Student Technician. Under direct supervision of a certified Radiologic Technologist, you will gain hands‑on clinical experience performing imaging procedures while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures under supervision, ensuring patient safety and high‑quality images.
• Review patient histories and physician orders, set up equipment, and select appropriate imaging parameters.
• Assist with patient positioning, shielding, and education before and during procedures.
• Operate PACS and imaging equipment, report malfunctions, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Administer contrast media when ordered and within scope of practice.
• Participate in quality‑improvement activities, equipment maintenance, and supply restocking.

Required profile

• Current enrollment in a Radiologic Technology program.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and dependable work ethic.
• Professional demeanor in high‑pressure or emergency situations.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule for department coverage.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
