Radiology Student Tech

About the role

Join Palestine Regional Medical Center as a Radiology Student Tech, gaining hands‑on clinical training in a 150‑bed hospital recognized for safety and quality. Under direct supervision of a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform imaging procedures while learning to prioritize patient safety and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures under supervision, ensuring patient safety and high‑quality images.
• Review patient histories and physician orders, set up equipment, and select appropriate imaging parameters.
• Assist with patient positioning, shielding, and education before and during procedures.
• Operate PACS and imaging equipment, report malfunctions, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Administer contrast media when ordered and within scope of practice.
• Participate in quality‑improvement activities, equipment maintenance, and supply restocking.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by facility policy.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment and lift/move patients.
• Professional demeanor, strong communication, and teamwork skills.

Required skills
