Quoting Specialist – Customer Service

About the role

The Quoting Specialist supports the Customer Service team by preparing accurate price quotes, building estimates for special items, and ensuring timely production processes. This role works closely with customers, sales representatives, and internal engineering to evaluate feasibility and deliver reliable quotations.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain tool design and quote standards for standard, modified, and custom tools.
• Collect data from customers and sales reps to select appropriate tool types.
• Gather manufacturing and engineering information to assess production feasibility and generate accurate quotes.
• Communicate quotation details, applications, and design considerations to customers.
• Assist inside sales with order processing during high‑volume periods.
• Request material quotes, schedule material usage, and monitor supply flow to prevent shortages.
• Evaluate supplier quality and timeliness, and produce performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, industry standards, EHS requirements, and ISO certifications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical education preferred.
• Minimum 3 + years of quoting experience; 5 + years in manufacturing, engineering, or related roles, preferably aerospace.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
