Quality Technician – QC Role in Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Technician supports the Quality Control Supervisor in daily inspection activities on the shop floor. This position ensures that machined parts meet drawing specifications and that production processes remain within quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist QC personnel with monitoring production processes and verifying part conformity.
• Perform dimensional inspections on precision‑machined products and assemblies without assistance.
• Record inspection data, indicate pass/fail results, and maintain traceability.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to develop verification plans.
• Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and use required equipment such as scaffolds, ladders, or lifts.
• Provide continuous‑improvement suggestions to the appropriate team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; technical trades training in welding or inspection preferred.
• At least 1 year of fabrication or manufacturing experience.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel locally as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience performing dimensional inspections on precision parts.
